Scan Kit (“App”) is a document scanning application for iOS developed by Qilong. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App. The short version: we collect nothing.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Scan Kit operates entirely on your device. There are no servers, no accounts, and no data pipelines.
2. Camera Access
Scan Kit requests access to your device camera solely to scan physical documents. Images captured through the scanner are stored locally on your device in the App’s private storage container. No images or image data are transmitted to any server or third party.
3. Local Storage
All documents you scan, along with any settings you configure, are stored locally on your device. This data is private to the App and is not accessible to Qilong or any third party.
4. No Accounts Required
Scan Kit does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other identifying information at any point.
5. No Analytics or Tracking
We do not use analytics services, crash reporting tools, advertising networks, or any third-party SDKs that collect data. There is no tracking of any kind — behavioural, advertising, or otherwise.
6. No Third-Party Sharing
Because we collect no data, we share no data. We do not sell, rent, or disclose any information about you to any third party.
7. Data Deletion
All data associated with Scan Kit — your documents, settings, and preferences — is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App from your device. There is no data on our end to delete.
8. Children’s Privacy
Scan Kit does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. As the App collects no information from anyone, this applies universally.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
